As humans (and women) there are lot of things that we love. In this round of our “Pick Two” we are picking our absolute favorite things that we were totally obsessed with this month and sharing them with you!
If you’ve tried them before, drop us a comment and let us know what you think!
Mirtle’s Pick – Glossier Lidstar in Cub
Why I Love It: It really does what they say it’ll do. It goes on creamy and (I found) that it dries quickly. I’m not as big a makeup gal as Emily, but on the odd occasions that I wear eyeshadow, I always use eyeshadow primer, which Glossier says you don’t need but I like to be on the side of caution so I did.
Now… the day that I used this was for my brother’s AA degree graduation at 8 am — so I applied my makeup (mostly a Glossier face) at 7 am (safe to say we were late, but we are Dominicans, so…). Lidstar lasted me until 10-something pm when I was finally able to wash my face. That’s a total of about 15 hours y’all. I’ve had powder eyeshadows that wish they had that kind of prowess.
Where To Get It: If you live in NY, you can hope down to their flagship store located at 123 Lafayette St., or if you’re lucky (which Miami was recently) they’ll have a pop up store in your city. If not, online is the way to go.

Emily’s Pick – FENTY BEAUTY by Rihanna Pro Filt’r Instant Retouch Setting Powder
What it is: Sephora describes it as a superfine, weightless, loose setting powder in eight sheer shades to perfect and extend makeup wear for a filtered, photo-ready finish on lock — TLDR: this will make you look 🔥.
Why I love it: It’s cruelty free, it has a great shade range (which Fenty is known for). I purchased the shade “Butter” and I am obsessed with it because it not only does it give my under eye a natural highlight, but it also blurs my pores for a flawless finish.
The shade “Lavender” is a good choice if you want to highlight + brighten your under eye area. I have been using Pro Filt’r Instant Retouch Setting Powder for a month now and notice a huge difference in my makeup during my eight hour work day. I don’t need to retouch my makeup constantly, which is a plus for me since I meet with clients daily. It is literally one of the best setting powders I have tried!
Where to get it: A Sephora location near you or online the (0.98 0z/28g) is $32. You can also order it on FENTY BEAUTY.
#MEtip: Sephora has a travel size (0.27 oz 7.8g) in case you want to test it out first 😉 that’s $18.
