Mirtle + Emily

Hey, friend!

Welcome to ME – our lifestyle blog.

We’re two friends who want to share the journey of friendship, travels, and endeavors — something that is reflected in the name of our blog: Mirtle + Emily.

By no means does that imply that Mirtle is cooler than Emily (Emily is a badass and a cool chick)… it’s just that “EM” doesn’t have the same ring to it. 🤷

In the spirit of becoming bffs, here are a few things you should know about us.

Hey, y’all! I’m a 20-something (because a lady doesn’t ever reveal her age) Dominican with a love for food, travel, and skincare. I was born on the beautiful island of the Dominican Republic, but was raised stateside (yes I still go back quite often — I mean, have you seen our beaches?).

My hope with this blog (probably my third go at blogging) is to learn more about the world around me and share that with you, in a sincere and honest way while also having a good ol’ time. I also am campaigning to be Emily’s maid of honor and a girl gotta start early for these things. #WishMeLuck

Hey! Like Mirtle, I am Dominican born and US raised (#ReppingSantiago). Unlike Mirtle, you will not know what my age is (she’s a little crazy for sharing that). I love sports (Saints + Yankees for life), travel (NOLA is my favorite. city. ever.), and makeup.

My hope with this blog is to experience new things that will help push me out of my comfort zone. I want to help others by sharing the things that I know and have encountered (that sounds more ominous than I meant it to be). I want to learn new aspects of myself and share those with you in hopes that it will help you learn something new about you.

P.S. – I’m not planning on having an MOH, so I’m not too sure what Mirtle is talking about.

🌻

We’re looking forward to learning, growing and sharing with y’all. ❤️️

XO,

M + E
